Endoscopic (Full-Closed) Surgery for Lumbar and Cervical Disc Herniation

Endoscopic (Full-Closed) Surgery for Lumbar and Cervical Disc Herniation

This is a modern, minimal invasive technique applied as an alternative to classical open spinal surgeries. In this method, the problem area is reached through a skin incision smaller than 1 cm using an endoscopic system with a high-resolution camera. The herniated disc tissue or bone spurs pressing on the nerve root are carefully removed with minimal intervention to the surrounding tissues. Muscle and bone structures are largely preserved.

Which Conditions Can Be Treated with Endoscopic Surgery?

    • Lumbar, Thoracic, and Cervical Hernias
    • Spinal structural disorders (spondylolisthesis)
    • Spinal canal stenosis
    • Disc protrusions pressing on nerve roots

In specific cases, it can also be applied to spinal tumors, spinal cord tumors, and spinal infections.

It is a preferred method for recurrent hernias in suitable cases.

Suitability for each patient is determined through detailed examination and imaging results by a specialist.

What are the Advantages of Endoscopic (Full-Closed) Surgery?

    Minimal tissue damage
    Less bleeding
    Reduced postoperative pain
    Fast discharge
    Short recovery period
    Aesthetic advantage (Small incision)
